Pray and Pray and Pray
Help us to keep asking
To seek You and only You;
Seek the treasure that is lasting,
As Your will is in view.
We would not ask our vain desires
To spend it on our wants.
Pride and selfishness cast in the fire!
For “what is better” our heart hunts.
As children we would ask for bread
That only You supply.
We little ones by You are led.
“No good thing” will You deny.
Lord, though we are weak and weary,
We’ll seek You while it’s day.
Teach Your flock, broken and teary,
To pray and pray and pray.
