A Remembrance Hymn
Jesus asked His close ones a question,
An invitation to something new.
He was teaching them a fresh lesson;
Though their numbers were so few.
“Remember Me” was His request
And so we’ll do no less.
Instead of with our selves obsessed,
We worship the King and tell Him, “yes!”
Gathering in an insignificant place,
A couple lights, some pews, a table.
We all come realizing we aren’t worthy
But Jesus is more than able.
This is just for a little while,
For our Risen Lord is soon returning!
Oh Jesus, we can’t help but smile,
As our hearts for You are burning!
CHORUS
What a privilege that here
You invite sinners like we
We tell You “yes, You are dear!”
Your sacrifice our plea
