Still Standing

Are you facing trials or struggles that just seem to weigh you down? Do you feel trapped and alone in this world? There is a sense of longing in times of trouble. There is a desire to reach out for help when you feel alone or stuck. For example, let’s look at a child who feels threatened or in danger. Their response is to cry or to automatically look to his parent for comfort or help. When your world is caving in, do you turn to the things of the world for comfort or do you look to God? Do you stop focusing on how you can solve the problems going on in your life, or do you surrender it all to God, who is the Author and Finisher of your faith?

We are ALL in desperate need of a Savior. A Savior who understands and knows our every thought. A Savior who is there to care for us in our time of trouble. In Luke 5: 12-13, we see Jesus Christ approach a man with leprosy. When asked by the man if He was willing to make him clean, the Lord replied, “I am willing.” How amazing is that? The Creator of this universe told this man He was willing to heal him. Jesus Christ reached out and touched this man and he was healed. Jesus Christ is waiting to take control of your life and heal you.

Jesus Christ showed that man mercy in His time of need. He is a God of compassion and grace. He is a God of love and healing. His love is powerful and can change one’s life. He can restore your life just as He did with the man who had leprosy.

For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that One died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.

2 Corinthians 5: 14-15

This verse shows us that the love of God transforms us. The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ died for all so that we may no longer live for ourselves, but for Him who promises us eternal hope. This is a God who wants to open your eyes to a brighter tomorrow. I realize when times are tough, it is hard to trust that God will bring you through it all, but I urge you to give your heart to Him and see what He will do with it. Depend on Him for mercy and grace, and you will see that He will change your heart. Instead of focusing on your own pain and struggles, turn to Him and live for Him.

David says, “The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer” (Psalm 6:9). The Lord hears your cries. He will accept and answer your prayers. Give your life to Him and find a life of healing and restoration.

When your world is caving in and you feel hopeless, trust in Him.

Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you..

Psalm 55:22
